Meet the directors
Mike Penn
DirectorMike trained as a bench joiner and has worked in construction for over 20 years. With a background rooted in hands-on craftsmanship, Mike now heads up Huwga's commercial division, managing projects from the initial enquiry through to completion. He works closely with clients, architects, engineers and building control, overseeing everything from estimating and procurement to project and site management, health and safety, quality control and delivery. His practical experience and hands-on approach ensure projects are well organised, clearly communicated and delivered to a high standard.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys family time, cooking pizzas and riding push bikes around the Shropshire countryside.
Neil Ditty
DirectorNeil brings extensive experience of over 25 years in residential construction, overseeing Huwga's new build, renovation and extension projects. With a strong understanding of the practical challenges involved in creating and transforming homes, he combines his construction knowledge with a natural eye for design and creativity. Neil works closely with clients and the wider project team to develop ideas, solve challenges and turn plans into reality. From early planning through to completion, his hands-on approach helps ensure each project is thoughtfully delivered, with a strong focus on quality, detail and the finished result.
In his spare time, Neil enjoys cooking, music and playing his bass guitar.
From front rooms to commercial sites
Huwga Building Co. Ltd started as a small building company, project managing and delivering renovation projects within people's homes. Since then we've grown, bringing those same core values, high standards of workmanship, clear communication, reliability, trusted and approved trades and genuine accountability, to our new build homes and commercial projects.
The projects may be different, but our standards are not. We bring the same care, organisation and project discipline to a commercial fit-out as we do to a new build family home.

Huwga is a take on the Danish word 'hygge'. The Danes use it to describe a feeling of cosiness, charm, happiness, contentment, security and comfort, and these are some of the feelings we strive to ensure you'll experience within the spaces we build.
