“Pretty much perfect. A pleasure to work with, clear communication, high quality workmanship and delivered exactly what we wanted.”
- Tony“Every aspect of my project was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for Mike and Neil, who genuinely had my best interests at heart. The quality of workmanship was outstanding but what sets them apart is the communication. So many other trades these days take forever to get back to you. Not with Mike and Neil, comms flowed and there was always a solution to any additional requirements. Overall I’m delighted with my extension and would highly recommend Huwga.”
- Duncan“After Mike came out to look at our door project and we accepted his quote, he sent Conner to site to do the work. His work was brilliant, we had total trust in him. In fact we had to go away and left Conner with a set of keys. From start to finish the job was great and we are over the moon with the new doors. It was a pleasure to have Mike and Conner in the house.”
- Barry“Communication and attention to detail.”
- James“Excellent communication throughout and recommendations about other pieces of work being planned. Neat and tidy work, cleared up every day.”
- Rollo“Clearly understood what was required from the outset, not just from a pure deliverable point of view but also the quality too. Great communication throughout, keeping us informed as to what was happening and involved early on any additional decisions required to be made to keep things moving forward. Always very considerate throughout the build. And we could not be more pleased with the outcome. We would use Huwga again in a heartbeat.”
- Peter Oliver“The ability to share ideas from their previous jobs helped us to develop our own picture of what we wanted to achieve. They are meticulous in how they work as is their supply chain and we really value their reliability and attention to detail. Their project management capability really made the whole experience stress free and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”
- Andy and Lorna“Overall it was a well timed and managed process but the outstanding quality of the finish is what I would say left us most satisfied, really top drawer.”
- Robert“Communicating any changes to the planned schedule, this really helped as we lived in the house as the work was being done.”
- Olly“The standard of workmanship was exemplary as was the customer service. They were polite and reliable and delivered on timings and cost.”
- Peter“Organisation and communication was absolutely top notch. It made everything go so much more smoothly than other building projects we’ve done, even whilst the work was happening through the winter months! Everything was very well planned out and it made collaboration between multiple trades feel really seamless. Above all, we quickly built a lot of trust and faith in Mike and Neil; they’re good genuine people who strive to deliver the best outcome and build a great relationship with their clients. We thoroughly enjoyed working with them and we’re delighted with the way the project turned out.”
- Josh“We liked that Huwga listened to what we wanted, gave us ideas and explained everything fully. They were very organised and responded quickly to any queries.”
- Michelle“Quality of workmanship & good communication.”
- Aubrey & Sheila“Without hesitation, I would recommend (and have) this team to anyone who will listen. If you want professional tradesmen delivering the highest quality of work then you need HUWGA for your project!”
- Gary Carr“Good organisation and communication.”
- Anonymous“Craftsmanship was superb, communication is so important on a project like this and Neil was immense. The level of detail was brilliant and they went over and above.”
- Sabrina“They listened and took notice 100% to my requests then explained to me each step as they moved to completion.”
- Phil“Very professional and helpful. Always cheerful and continuous interaction with clients. Always happy to listen to any ideas proposed by client or giving advice. An excellent company. Would recommend and use again. Thank you.”
- Janet“Quality of workmanship was exceptional as was the communication throughout. They finished 2 days early on their 3 month timeline. The extension is 10 years old now and it looks as good as it did when it was first built. I cannot recommend them enough, so much so that we will now always wait for Huwga to do further building work even if the wait is substantial.”
- Chris“We were recommended Huwga for our renovation project and from Neil’s first site visit, we found the decision to use them very easy. Neil was willing to both listen to our plans and ideas for the scope of the project, but also to politely make suggestions for different ways we could achieve the results we wanted that might improve the finish and/or maximise the cost to benefit ratio. It was brilliant to have someone to discuss the project with as a whole and explore multiple options before deciding on what was best for us. Communication was great throughout and the site was always well organised and tidy whilst they worked. The work was carried out with great attention to detail, we’re delighted with the finish of the work and wouldn’t hesitate to use Huwga again in the future or to recommend them to anyone.”
- Hannah“We loved working with Mike and Neil. Their open communication and reliability was priceless. They stuck to the timeframe agreed and managed the wider team of trades people very well (who were also brilliant!). We moved out of the house for the project so we had regular weekly email updates of progress. The quality of the workmanship was excellent and their eye for small finishing details for a better overall look and finish was great. I would recommend Huwga 100%.”
- Ed“Work was carried out as detailed and on time. The site was kept clean and tidy and we were very happy with the workmanship. Very good with design ideas and problem solving.”
- Pete“Felt fully informed and consulted throughout the process. We were kept informed on costs and variations as the project progressed. The project was well managed with issues dealt with promptly and professionally. Liaised well with our architect and co-ordinated multiple trades on site. The team worked around the family and were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended and will be using them for future projects.”
- Sophie and Alasdair“Building a house is a huge undertaking (especially working full-time and caring for a young family) but we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better team than Mike and Neil to have been on that journey with us. From the very beginning, we were so impressed by how well organised everything was. The site was always tidy and well managed, and the quality of their workmanship really stood out. The beams in particular are absolutely beautiful and add so much character. But for us, the communication was brilliant throughout, keeping us informed and taking the time to answer questions thoroughly. We probably gave them a few more quirky requests than most house builds including a laundry chute and retractable coat storage, but they understood what we wanted to achieve and made it work. House building can be stressful but having Mike and Neil with their calm approach and knowledgeable expertise made the whole experience easier. We love our home and would highly recommend Huwga to anyone embarking on a building project.”
- Delwyn and Kate“We couldn’t be happier with the kitchen HUWGA did for us. Neil and Mike delivered an absolutely fantastic job, with a real focus on quality craftsmanship and an exceptionally high-quality finish. The attention to detail throughout is clear, and the end result looks and feels superb. Neil’s ideas for cleaning up and simplifying the design were particularly useful and made a real difference to the finished kitchen. Both Neil and Mike were a pleasure to work with: professional, reliable, friendly and thoroughly trustworthy. We’re delighted with the result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend HUWGA to anyone looking for excellent workmanship, attention to detail and a genuinely high standard of finish.”
- Gill and Dave“Great communication throughout, high quality of workmanship & timely delivery of the project.”
- Shrewsbury College“Having previously been involved in the building industry I can appreciate the professionalism of Huwga. They have access to top quality trades people and this shows in the quality of the finished product. This was very evident, for example, in the roof lead work which incorporated a substantial quantity of welded joints and seams. Some of which will never be seen but were of the same top quality as those on the ground floor bay window. Neil followed the brief of the special chimney design and helped to make this a reality. We feel this is another stand out feature of the property in the arts and crafts style. It was a pleasure to work with Neil and Mike and especially appreciated their availability and communication skills. This also covers the tradesmen who were courteous, approachable and tidy throughout the build.”
